![]() | This is your captain speaking. We are on our way to Disneyland. Just sit back and enjoy the friendly service on board today. |
![]() | Beverages were complimentary. Here is Cindy a bit tea-ed off. Or would it be tea-ed up? It was early, that's all I remember. The next thing we knew, we were standing online for Space Mountain. Newly revamped, this ride was smooth and featured the rock-n-roll music of the Red Hot Chili Peppers! |
![]() | Here is an artistic rendering of Cindy at the Mad Hatter's Tea Party. Not quite my favorite ride due to its spinning nature. This view is kind of what I felt like waiting on line for this |
![]() | On the actual ride. I can't believe Cindy would risk letting go to take a picture during this dangerous, high speed adventure ride! Thankfully, she only snapped one picture early on in the ride, and not when I was crying or...er...umm...yeah... |
![]() | This ride was much more my speed. Small World. A classic ride illustrating all the world's people coming together in song and animatronics as only Disney can envision. I really liked this ride after the Tea Cups. Likely one of the few boat rides in the world I would admit to liking. |
![]() | Continuing on the "nice and easy" route, we rode King Arthur's carousel. I almost wished we had a tiara for the birthday girl as many of the girls we were running into in Fantasy Land were also birthday girls. Cindy didn't want a tiara. |
![]() | I settled for a silly hat instead of a tiara. |
![]() | My favorite ride ever. I love Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. My favorite part of this ride is to hear how parents try to describe it to their children. "It's scary, but not too scary." "It's about a frog." Wind in the Willows was certainly not a perennial favorite in our house. |
![]() | Watch out here I come! |
![]() | Buzz Lightyear was the hidden surprise for the day. Not wanting to wait in crazy lines, we opted to try Buzz out. With very low expectations we waited our turn and when the time came to take the zapper and go at it, we kicked some serious galactic butt! After the ride, you can give your email address (and all sense of privacy) to the nice people and they email you this picture of you in action. Aren't we so heroic? |
![]() | Yodeler or child molester??? |
![]() | No one ever told me about the pineapple whip outside the Tiki room. Probably due some family member's aversion to fruit, we never hit up the pineapple whip stand. WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE? We waited longer for a pineapple whip than we waited for some rides. Disney should consider putting a Fast Pass on this puppy. These are incredible! |
![]() | Pineapple whips consumed, we waited for the Disney parade. While doing so, we snapped one last picture. It took three takes, but this one came out pretty good. |
