| Here we are pausing for a brief stretch and some sun shine in upstate New York. | ![]() |
| Our first road meal at a resturant was Remington's of Montana in Niagara. Notice I was able to mold the "mashed potatoes" which we believe were instant potatoes. | ![]() |
| Clifton Hill is the tourist trap that looks a lot like Las Vegas Lite | ![]() |
| More of Clifton Hills. We found a lot of horror/Halloween type attractions which made us wonder why so many horror places here? | ![]() |
| The Maid of The Mist docks. 13 bucks (Canadian) gets you a blue plastic poncho and a 20 minute ride near the falls. | ![]() |
| This is how silly you look in the ponchos | ![]() |
| Cindy and the Falls | ![]() |
| Cindy and some strange guy and the falls | ![]() |
| My best Bogart impression at the falls | ![]() |
| The "Please stop taking my picture at the falls" face. | ![]() |
| We broke for lunch at the Secret Garden resturant which sat just under the Rainbow Bridge. I decided to go with the local specialty, Canadian Grill which was 2 slices of bacon, fried sausage and grilled sausage. The bacon was the best meat on this platter. | ![]() |
| Oooh, ahh, enchanting. | ![]() |
| This is the Friday crowd. There were lots of people from all over the world. Cindy asked one man to take our picture and he just grabbed his wife and kids and ran away nervously as if she were going to rob him or something. Tour buses were everywhere and some of the families were just too much. | ![]() |
| The other attraction we saw was Journey Behind the Falls. This is the observation deck. Behind the falls there are also 2 portals that give you a behind the scenes look at the water rushing down the hill. It was loud, wet and intense. | ![]() |
| Cindy fixing her hair for her next close up. | ![]() |
| Work it for the camera girl! | ![]() |
| Requisite romantic picture of us and the falls. If I had a dime for every couple that took their picture on that day I would be a very very rich man. | ![]() |
| We then decided to head over the Rainbow bridge a bit. This required paying a 50 cent toll. | ![]() |
| We found a secret way into the US through this Malcovitch-like door way! The other funny thing was when we came back into Canada, the Canadian customs officer asked us what we were doing in Canada and I said," My car is parked there!" He didn't think it was that funny and continued to interrogate us for about 3-5 more minutes about any alcohol, firearms, pepper spray, etc etc we may be smuggling into the country. Mind you the only bags we had on us were Cindy's small purse and a camera bag. Nope, not carrying my bazooka today sir! | ![]() |
| Some more sights and scenery | ![]() |
| Sights and scenery continued. These were taken from the Rainbow Bridge which connects the US and Canada. | ![]() |
| We promised never to let anything come between us. Here Cindy stands in Canada and I in the US. Even across borders, we still love each other! | ![]() |
| Cindy smiling brightly at the rainbow bridge (get it, rainbow bright?) | ![]() |
| Testament to man's enginuity. The underside of the Rainbow Bridge. | ![]() |
