You can catch me on line always spittin a rhyme

...hawkin' CDs talking smack with a dime...

I'm not typically a guy who shamelessly posts links on my blog to grins and giggles. However, this past week, I've spent more hours than I should on the world wide web and have come across some interesting places.

I really like the random blog listing that Blogger runs. It cycles a list of the most recently updated blogs in its system and man are there some wackos, but also some clever, folks out there.

Here are some links I have been carrying around to various places on the Internet. I believe them to be family friendly sites, for the most part.

  • Orange Box 5: Just another person's blog. I liked their writing style and their orange theme.

  • Electronic Freedom Foundation: They have this handy little legal guide for bloggers that I found fascinating.

  • Church Sign Generator: I spent way too much time, having way too much fun on this one.

  • 10 x 10: Fans of Edward Tufte would like this site which attempts to vistually display the top 100 words/ideas in the news every 10 minutes.

  • Pime Collective: Another blog. These folks seem a bit edgy, but they had some interesting posts on a variety of topics.

  • Geocaching: Perhaps something to do if I get that GPS LocatorI want for Christmas?

  • RIM v NTP: Probably one of the biggest patent cases going on right now. Very complex with lots of issues around international patent law, claim construction, and other exciting issues patent attorneys are watching closely. I think it has gone to the supreme court!

  • Meebo: For the non technical folks, this is a cool site that lets you chat over AOL, Yahoo and other services. For the technical folks, it's implemented in the hot new web technology Ajax!

  • Sean Price: Probably the least family friendly link, but I am here to say Sean Price is one of the best of all times. I just bought his newest release Monkey Barz and it was awesome. It's gritty, grimy, Ruck rap. I don't particularly envy when someone is backed into a corner and is fighting for their livlihood, but rappers and boxers fight harder than anyone I know if dinner's on the line. Sean "Brokest Rapper You Know" Price brings it.

  • Another Blog: what did I just say, it's another blog! She works at the Pita Pit while going to school. Some of her stories are funny.

  • 9th Wonder: Sort of a follow up to the Sean Price thing, the 9th Wonder produced a few tracks on the album. I did not think too much of him before, but after further review it's all good!

  • New Problem in Baseball?: I think there might be a new performace enhancing substance making the rounds in baseball. Check out the footage! Pretty damming.

Okay that's all I have. I'm starting to gear up for the holidays. Almost ready to sell my body on the street to pay for two tickets home, it's not going to be cheap this year, but it'll be nice to get some time back east. The wife and I are also working up a holiday gift guide for all those anxiously awaiting to shower us with holiday presents. It'll have some nice tips on what's needed, wanted and desired, sizes, colors, etc.

I'm a bit worried about the Eagles. TO is gone, but is it too late to save their season?
